Wonderful place. I sadly had a similarly slow experience as others in “Das Loreley Weinstübchen” so left 25 mins after ‘checking in for lunch’ with no menu or waiter, and walked down the road to this hotel/restaurant. Unexpectedly, there are gorgeous riverside views on the terrace. I was sat and served instantly, the food came out in good time, and was of excellent quality! A LARGE schnitzel covered in chanterelles and cream sauce!! Staff were all smiling and friendly, terrace was packed with punters, and more constantly trickling through, this takes the crown from the Weinstübchen of the past as my ‘favourite schnitzel in St Goarshausen’.

Very traditional Germany style restaurant , served with Loreley Riesling ,free parking along the Rhein for two hours
I was greeted by the owner upon entering and seated immediately. I thoroughly enjoyed the Jagerschnitzel with potatoes and salad. I had a marvelous view of the Rhine River and an excellent glass of Riesling which was a recommendation from the owner as a nice pairing with the meal. The overall experience was a 5/5.
The food was top notch. Appeared that this restaurant was a favourite with the locals which speaks volumes. In addition it had come highly recommended by our hotel manager across the Rhine. Besides great food and great hospitality we had the pleasure of meeting Wanda the puppy who appears to have sensed that I missed my puppy so she stayed close.
They have the best schnitzel in Germany! Try the local wine here. Price are really low for the quality. It also has an amazing view of the river.
To believe that Loreley could provide such a glorious Rumpschtek is something only the Gods can explain. I had a very nice life there! So many amazing and wonderful things! One need not dig deeper within this comment to understand that I, indeed, had something of the best European amazing things I've ever had!
Excellent schnitzel and even better service. We felt like we were eating at home with family. Highly recommend you stop in while in St. Goarshausen!
